Add a sender
How to add a new sender to send a newsletter from a different email address.
The sender is the email address that your recipients see in the From field when they receive your newsletter. Moosend lets you add different campaign senders. This means you can have different senders for different occasions. Keep in mind that you want your campaigns to be recognizable by your recipients and that your sender is familiar both in name and address.
Note
Before you create a campaign, you must set up the two TXT records for SPF and DKIM in the DNS zone of your domain name.
To add a sender:
On the menu bar, click More > Settings.
On the menu on the left, click Senders.
In the top right-hand corner, click Add new.
In the Create new sender dialog, fill out the Name and Email of the sender and click Save.
Note
Some prefixes are not allowed in sender email addresses. For example, you can't use admin, maildaemon, postmaster, no-reply, and so on, as prefixes to your email @mycompany.com. Incoming emails from these addresses are usually marked as spam. You can use an email address that you have assigned for advertising, for example, advertising@mycompany.com.
On the Senders page, once you have set up the TXT records correctly, the SPF and DKIM setup check boxes are selected.
When the sender passes all checks, the sender receives a verification email message with activation link.
After the sender clicks the activation link, and the sender is verified, you'll see under the Verified column. If the sender does not pass all checks, it will appear as rejected, and the Verified check box is empty. This can be due to the following:
You are using a free webmail address such as Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, or Yahoo email as your sender address.
No website was found associated with your sender address domain.
The reputation of your website, your domain, or your sender's address does not meet the set threshold.
Note
If you don't see under the Verified column for a particular sender, it means that you have not verified the particular sender when you created the address. Possibly, you missed the confirmation email message that was sent to the sender email address. Check your inbox or spam folder for a Moosend confirmation email.
