Resubscribe a bounced email address

Abstract

Correct a spelling error in a recipient's email address.

An email address might be classified as bounced for several reasons, one of which is when the email address does not exist. This typically occurs due to spelling errors when the email address is submitted. If that is the case and you have to correct a spelling error, or if you are certain that an email address classified as bounced is really valid and want to resubmit it to your list, you can resubscribe.

To resubscribe a bounced email address:

  1. On the menu bar, click Audience > Email lists.

  2. Click the name of the email list that you want to view.

  3. On the menu on the left, click View all members.

  4. Click the Bounced tab to view the email addresses that bounced.

  5. Click the bounced email address that you want to update.

  6. Edit the email address and click Update member. The recipient now has the status Active.
