Moosend affiliate program FAQ

Do I have to be a Moosend customer to become an affiliate?

We recommend that you at least try using Moosend to see if you like our platform and ensure that it works for you and your audience. However, it is not a requirement to be a Moosend customer to become an affiliate.

Are there any joining fees?

No, there are no fees to join our affiliate program or receive your payouts through PayPal or Stripe. However, PayPal and Stripe may impose certain fees for certain transactions.

Can I join if I’m already affiliated with your competitors?

Yes. Although we want to have ambassadors that promote Moosend exclusively, we understand that promoting competing tools can also have benefits. If you've tested more than one platform in the same niche, you can lead your audience to the solution that fits their business needs most efficiently.

Where can I find my affiliate link?

You can find your affiliate link after you log in to your affiliate account. Click the Summary section of your profile, and in the Links section, you can view and copy your affiliate link.

Can I customize my affiliate link?

Yes, you can customize your affiliate link. After logging in to your affiliate account, click the Links section of your profile and click the Create a custom referral link tab.

You can enter your preferred text in the Your custom referral link field, which can contain only numbers, letters, and dashes. Any special characters such as question marks are not allowed.

You can also enter the URL of the page to which you want to redirect your audience in the Redirects to (optional) field. If leave this field empty, your audience will be redirected to our homepage instead.

After filling out both fields, click Create, and your customized link will appear in the Custom links section.

Can I change the page where my affiliate link redirects my audience to?

Yes, you can change the page where your affiliate link redirects your audience to. After logging in to your affiliate account, click the Links section of your profile.

You can enter your preferred text in the Your custom referral link field, which can contain only numbers, letters, and dashes. Any special characters such as question marks are not allowed.

In the Redirects to (optional) field, enter the URL of the page to which you want to redirect your audience. For example, to redirect your audience to Moosend's pricing page, enter pricing-page in the first field and then the URL of our pricing page in the second field.

How does Moosend track my sales?

Our affiliate program is cookie-based. After you register, you will receive your personal affiliate link. When you refer someone through that link, a cookie is saved in their browser. Even if they don't sign up on the first visit to our site, your affiliate cookie will be stored in their browser. When they upgrade to our Pro plan, you will receive the commission.

If I've helped someone sign-up, but they didn’t use my referral link, what can I do?

If you've helped someone sign up for Moosend but they didn't use your referral link, you can send an email to affiliates@moosend.com. You must provide all relevant information so that we can verify the referral and credit your account accordingly.

Are there any marketing materials available for me to use to promote Moosend?

Yes, there are marketing materials available for you to use in the Resources section of your affiliate account. Here you will find a variety of banners, social media ads, email ads, logos, and other materials that you can use to promote Moosend.

Can I create my own graphics and banners to promote Moosend?

Yes, you are free to create your own materials to promote Moosend. You can use our provided logos in any custom graphics or banners that you create. These logos can be found in the Resources section of your affiliate account.

How do I get paid?

You can cash out your earned commissions in the Rewards & Withdrawals section of your profile. Your commissions are paid out via PayPal or Stripe. You must ensure that you have entered the correct PayPal email address or Stripe account details before cashing out.

When will I receive my commissions?

All commissions are approved within the first 20 working days of the following month. After you've reached the $5 threshold, you can claim your earned commissions.

What does a zero commission mean?

A zero commission means that you will not receive any payouts until your referrals upgrade to a Pro plan. By default, when someone creates a Moosend account, they sign up for our forever free plan. However, once your referrals upgrade to a Pro plan, you can receive up to 40% recurring commission even if it's past the 90-day cookie duration.

What is the affiliate program's commission rate and structure?

The commission structure for Moosend is tiered and based on the number of paid customer referrals. You can earn from 30% up to 40% recurring commission for life for every customer you help discover Moosend.

From October 3rd, 2022, the tiers are:

Once you enter the Silver to Diamond groups, the commission you receive according to your tier becomes dynamic. This means that referring six paid accounts gives you 33% recurring commission for all those accounts, while referring 11 paid accounts gives you 35% for all previously referred accounts.

Any account referrals before October 3rd, 2022 that have become paid customers will receive a 30% recurring commission for life based on the previous commission structure, regardless of your tier group.

Accounts referred before October 3rd, 2022 are not counted in the total number of paid accounts you need to be eligible for the tiered commission groups.

What happens if a sale that I referred gets refunded?

If a sale that you referred is refunded later, your commission will be reversed and declined. You can view the details of any commission reversals in the Rewards & Withdrawals section of your profile.

What happens if the person who is my referral visits Moosend later through the link of another ambassador?

To ensure that every referral gets rightfully attributed, we use a First Touch attribution model. This gives 100% credit to the marketing effort that drove a visitor to our website for the first time.

If a referral clicks on your affiliate link first, but completes the sign-up process through another affiliate’s link, the referral is attributed to you since they first visited Moosend via your link.

What is the lifespan of the referral cookie used to track my referrals?

The referral cookie provided to affiliates lasts for 90 days. If a referral has created an account within that time but triggers a sale after 90 days, you are still eligible for a commission.
